Stephanie will be offering a Workshop on January 8th at Satellite Workplaces Campbell: “Getting Unstuck”, a Life Balance Workshop. Participants will leave with new discoveries, insights, and reflections that are actionable immediately in daily life. Get your New Year off to a positive and clear start despite the challenges of staying present in our increasingly attention-challenged and noisy world.
Meet Stephanie Antoine, a multi-faceted transplant from the UK who transitioned from a life as a professional violinist to a Life Balance Strategist and Coach specializing in Self-Care and ADHD for professionals in caring roles. She also teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and is a Movement Teacher at Spirit Rock Retreat Center.
How did you get started in your industry?
I was called forth by colleagues and friends. The work I do has grown from my desire to thrive despite the challenges and discomforts of my life and from people asking me to help them advocate for themselves and others. I learned that the way out of burnout was the opposite of what I expected. Rather than fighting, striving, and working ever harder, strategically making space for rest, ease and gratitude turns out to be effective at reducing stress.
All of the work I do is supported and anchored by over thirty years of Meditation and Yoga practice.
How has Satellite supported you and your business?
When I was getting started Ken and Barbara were generous and kind mentors who encouraged me to keep going and believed in my capacity to succeed. For several years before the pandemic, I had an office and then a hot desk space that I visited regularly. I felt connected and motivated by the consistency and warmth of the space and the people in it. Satellite has been a stable and steady presence in my business life.
What’s something you’re excited about right now?
I am looking forward to beginning training as a Community Dharma Leader at Spirit Rock in January because it will increase my ability to support people with stress reduction and self-care. As a practitioner of the Naturally Arising Method of Vipassana meditation developed by my teacher Phillip Moffitt and his colleagues my teacher Tuere Sala, along with Dana DePalma, Alex Haley and Ying Chen I will be offering meditation to people who typically don’t feel like it is accessible to them, people with ADHD or are concentration challenged.
I am also very excited to be offering a Life Balance Workshop at Satellite Campbell. The Life Balance Institute is a non-profit organization that offers paths to build “the capacity to have inner balance even when outer circumstances are chaotic or beyond our control”.
